I am excited to begin a 3-week stay at the Soaring Gardens Artists Retreat in Northern Pennsylvania! I am working with fellow composer and astrologer Sara Priebe. Together, we are spending this residency beginning our co-composed work, The Zodiac, for orchestra. The work will be in 12 movement, with each exploring one of the 12 archetypes of the zodiac.
Tsigili’i: Black-Capped Chickadee is from my series The Ancient Language of Birds. I had a really great time at this festival meeting wonderful people, hearing many great performances, and exploring the Black Bayou Wildlife Refuge. I just received word that Tsigili'i: Black-Capped Chickadee from The Ancient Language of Birds will be released on the 32nd Volume by Society of Composers, Inc and Parma Records.
